James Wall
Co-Founder & CEO
James Wall is a seasoned marketing and communications executive with deep experience in the education and youth sector. He was instrumental in the founding of TeamSnap in 2009—bringing the original idea to then-CEO Dave DuPont, drafting the initial business plan, and participating in the initial funding round. TeamSnap was sold to Waud Capital in 2021 for $150 million.
Since then, James has led marketing and communications efforts for a range of mission-driven organizations in education and youth development. The idea for Moxie was sparked while working with Dr. Stephanie Jones to promote her groundbreaking research on social-emotional learning for the Wallace Foundation.
Vincent Dipas
Co-Founder & CFO
Dipas is a business development executive for science-driven companies in emerging industries, like bio, ag, and digital tech. Presently, he’s a partner at Highway 33 Capital sourcing and executing acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt financings. Previously, at Agency 33, he originated and led bio and clean tech practices. As an entrepreneur, Dipas was founding team for Cerebral Therapeutics, a drug device/delivery company aimed at refractory epilepsy. Dipas holds an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.
Cody Cleary
Co-Founder & CPO
Cleary is president of Orbit Design where he oversees a broad portfolio of for-profit and non-profit clients. His achievements in marketing include Excellence in Marketing Analytics and Social Network Marketing among other awards. Formerly at Colgate-Palmolive, Cleary oversaw Colgate Total, Palmolive Dish, Ajax Cleaners, Irish Spring, and SoftSoap. His campaigns drove brand and sales growth through digital advertising, television, promotions, and PR across US and Australian markets. Cleary earned an MBA from Cornell University where he was awarded the Rao Prize for top Marketing student and the McAllister Award in Marketing Writing, and holds a BS from Trinity University.
Jason Brigham
COO
Jason Brigham is an experienced operations and strategy executive with 20+ years driving operational transformation and revenue growth across healthcare, education, and technology. As Chief Operating Officer at Moxie, Jason leads go-to-market strategy, operational execution, and organizational growth.
Over his career, Jason has also been directly involved in three successful M&A events, including selling his own agency in 2019 and later supporting the acquisition of the company he sold to. He brings a proven ability to guide organizations through pivotal growth and transition periods — aligning product, marketing, and operations to maximize enterprise value.
Prior to Moxie, Jason served as Executive Vice President at REQ, where he led healthcare and education practices, and he currently advises mission-driven companies through his consultancy, GUNA.

Dr. Stephanie M. Jones
Co-Founder & Chief Social Science Officer
Jones is the Gerald S. Lesser Professor in Child Development and Education and Director of the EASEL Lab (https://easel.gse.harvard.edu/) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (GSE). Her research, anchored in prevention science, focuses on the effects of poverty and exposure to violence on social, emotional, and behavioral development from early childhood through early adolescence. Over the past fifteen years, her work has centered on evaluation research addressing the impact of preschool- and elementary-level social-emotional learning interventions on behavioral and academic outcomes and classroom practices, as well as new curriculum development, implementation, and testing. She serves on numerous national advisory boards, including recently as a member of the Council of Distinguished Scientists for the Aspen National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development. Jones holds a BA from Barnard College and a PhD from Yale University.
Dr. Sophie P. Barnes
Co-Founder & SEL Content Lead
Sophie Barnes, Ph.D. joined the Child Study Center as a Postdoctoral Associate in November 2024. Sophie works in the Education Collaboratory at Yale, primarily on projects that advance the science and practice of social and emotional learning (SEL) through rigorous evidence syntheses.
Sophie’s research centers on understanding the setting- and individual-level mechanisms that support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral skill development in school contexts, with a focus on executive function and self-regulation. She is also interested in adding nuance and precision to SEL measurement and partnering with schools and districts to develop feasible, responsible, and actionable assessment plans. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Sophie worked in the Ecological Approaches to Social and Emotional Learning (EASEL) Lab led by Dr. Stephanie Jones on a number of evaluations of school-based interventions that target children’s SEL growth and development and research and translational writing projects.
Sophie received her Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University. She also holds a B.S. in Applied Psychology from New York University and an Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
